What we will do for you…

We will help you to get up and running if you’re thinking of starting a business. Business start-up

We can advise on the best and most tax efficient business structure for you.

If required we can then form a company for you and deal with all the initial red tape, advising HM Revenue & Customs of the new business, registering the business for VAT, and if necessary appointing directors and issuing shares.

We will help you to know where your business is, where it's going and how it will get there.

Budgets and Forecasts

We can produce a budget for your business for the coming year based on expectations and assumptions about sales and the associated costs. We can then add a cash flow forecast so that you can see whether you are likely to suffer cash shortages during the year as these can be managed most easily if they are known about in advance.

Management accounts

As the year progresses we can take your raw bookkeeping data and produce management accounts monthly or quarterly in a format chosen by you to ensure that the information you need for decision making is always there when you need it. A comparison of these figures to the budget is a great way to identify problems so that they can be dealt with.

We will help you to keep control of who owes you money so that you get paid on time for work that you’ve carried out

We can help you to set up an effective bookkeeping system using spreadsheets or a software package and help you to get started.

Alternatively, we can take over your bookkeeping to enable you to concentrate on other aspects of your business.

We can also assist with invoicing your customers, producing statements and helping with credit control to ensure that you are paid for work that you have carried out.

We will make sure that you’re paying the right amount of tax and are claiming everything that you’re entitled to.

Corporation Tax and Self Assessment Tax Returns

We will produce your Corporation Tax or Self Assessment Tax Return annually ensuring that all allowable expenses are claimed.

We will also let you know when there are changes to tax law that might affect your business.

We encourage our clients to contact us whenever they are thinking of making changes to their businesses as tax law changes frequently. Please let us know in advance if you’re thinking of taking on employees, buying or leasing assets (e.g. cars, offices etc), changing the business structure or making any other significant changes so that we can advise on the most tax efficient solution for you.

We fix our fees so that our clients are not afraid to pick up the phone with tax questions whenever they need to.

We will ensure that you are complying with tax and company law so that you can concentrate on doing what you do best – running your business.

We will produce your sole trader, partnership or Limited Company accounts for you annually and also provide you with an explanation of what these tell us about the current state of your business.

Company secretarial services

We will ensure that your accounts and Annual Return are filed on time at Companies House.
If required we can also provide a Registered Office address and will maintain your statutory books and file in year changes with Companies House such as new shareholders and directors.

We will advise on whether you need to be VAT registered and help you with the VAT registration process, choosing the simplest VAT scheme for you.

We can then explain how VAT works and show you how to produce your VAT returns, or we can produce these for you.

We can manage your weekly, fortnightly or monthly payroll, dealing with all HM Revenue & Customs in-year and year end reporting requirements.
